Live price list
A price list that changes when you change it
Built for shops whose stock changes every day. You change what's in a tank or on a shelf from your phone; your website's price page, the QR tag on the shelf and the screen by the tank all follow within a minute.
How it works
We set it up
Your price page goes on your website, your first tanks go on the board with you, and we print your first sheet of QR tags.
You change it from your phone or the tablet
New fish in, price change, sold out: open the board, tap, done. A delivery of packaged goods: scan each barcode on the tablet and type how many. Twenty seconds, no computer.
Everything follows
The page updates within about a minute. The QR tag on the shelf and the tablet by the tank show the same thing, because they read the same page.
The pieces
📄
The price page
A page on your website with a section for every tank, shelf or bin: each item with its name, price, a note and a photo. Sold-out items disappear; five or fewer shows “3 left”. Public, or hidden from Google if you'd rather competitors not read it.
📱
The Tank board
A private link we text you. It opens on any phone, no app and no password. Add a tank, add what's in it, type the price and how many, snap a photo, tap Sold out. Every change saves by itself.
▦
Barcode scanning
Packaged goods (food, filters, parts, feed) go in and out by barcode: staff unlock the tablet, tap Scan, show the product to the camera or a cheap handheld scanner, type how many. A new code asks for a name once; many food and pet products fill it in by themselves.
🏷️
QR price tags
A printed sheet of labels, one per tank or shelf. Each QR opens that section of your price page, so a price change on your phone is a price change on the shelf. Nobody rewrites a tag.
📺
The tablet display
Put any cheap tablet by a tank and it shows that tank's stock and prices full-screen, live, all day. Or one screen by the register that rotates through every tank.
What your customers get
- At the tank: scan the tag or glance at the screen and see exactly what's in it today, with prices and photos.
- At home: your price page shows up with your website on Google, so people check what you have before they drive over, and call about the one they want.
- Fewer “how much is this one?” questions, and no arguing over a price on an old tag.
What you do
- Keep the board honest: tap Sold out when the last one goes, change the number when the price does.
- Take a photo when something worth showing comes in. The board does it from the camera.
- Boxed and bagged stock: scan the barcode on the tablet, type the amount, Put in or Take out. No list to search.
- That's it. You never touch the website, and anyone on your staff with the link can do it.
Who it's for
- Fish, reptile and pet stores
- Plant nurseries and garden centers
- Produce stands and farm stores
- Bakery cases and butcher counters
- Auto parts counters and tire shops (part number, fits, brand, warranty on the card)
- Used car, trailer and equipment lots (year, miles, VIN, condition)
- Antique malls, resale and consignment
- Feed and hardware stores with bulk bins
Anything with a section name you can stick a label on and stock that doesn't sit still.
What it costs
- Just the price list, board and tags: the Price list plan, $29 a month. No minimum term and no setup fee; cancel any time with 30 days' notice. Your first sheet of QR tags is included.
- With a website: included in every website plan, from $49 a month. Every month on the Price list plan counts toward a website later; the price page just becomes part of it.
- More QR tag sheets (8 tags each): $49 each. Reprints after you rename or add a tank are at cost.
- Tablet by the tank: any $40 to $80 tablet works; we'll set it up for you.
Questions shops ask
Do I need a computer?
No. The board is a web page that opens on any phone. No app to install, no password to remember; we text you the link.
How fast does a change show up?
On the price page within about a minute (the page reads the live list every time it loads). The QR tag and the tablet read the same page, so they follow at the same time.
What if my staff change something by mistake?
The board only edits the price list, nothing else on your site. Fix it on the board and the page follows. If the link ever gets out, we shut off every old link in one tap and send you a new one.
Can I keep my prices off Google?
Yes. Mark the price list private and it stays out of your site's menu and out of search engines; the QR tags and the tablet still work.
Do I have to buy a whole website?
No. The Price list plan is the price page, the board, the tags and the display on their own for $29 a month, with no minimum. If you add a website later, every month counts toward it.
What about photos?
Take them on the board with your phone camera; they show on the page next to the item. We never use Google's photos of your store on the page or the tags.
Can my staff scan barcodes?
Yes. In staff mode the tablet reads a barcode with its camera, or with any $25 to $40 USB-C or Bluetooth scanner. A known product shows its name and count; type how many and tap Put in or Take out. A code it hasn't seen asks for a name once (food, drink and pet products are often filled in from the barcode), takes a photo and gets its info card. Only staff can scan: it takes the PIN, a staff tag or your phone to unlock.
